BULLOCKS - euph/typo/LA pron.?

ballocks, or as it's usually spelled "bollix" is still around as a verb, as
in to mess something up- I heard a guy in NJ say last year, "he completely
bollixed it up" and DARE has it going back to 1937, meaning 'to throw into
confusion.'   But as was suggested I suspect users don't associate it with the taboo
word.  There is also one entry in DARE for a spelling of this as
'bullox"--from Nebraska.
