Just how disgraceful would a Poet Laureate have to be to get stripped of the title? :)

'Grand Tetons': You think *that's* bad, do you know what 'Squaw Peak' in Northern Phoenix really means? ;>

I'm looking forward to the listmembers' parsing of James Frey's linguistic gymnastics...maybe some comments on the ethics of publishers, authors and promoters?

Anyone think Frey, Oprah or Doubleday will refund customers?

So John Ciardi is either
1) deceased---unlikely for the host of a radio program
2) the victim of a collaboration between the McCarthyites and the PC Police
to strip him of his laureate title
3) (most likely) prone to oversleeping

OT - those interested in finding sexual connotations in the names of
mountains (e.g. "Brokeback") are invited to ponder the Grand Tetons of
Wyoming.
