In the last couple of seasons of the TV show St. Elsewhere, the
character played by William Daniels (Dr. Mark Craig) was writing a novel
about the Lingus family.  Once or twice he mentioned their daughter,
Constance, but never filled out the joke by saying "Connie Lingus".  It
was always left unsaid.
