Is "veloaty" really a word? Not in OED2. 335 hits on Google, all of
the first 30 seemingly from various sciences, mainly aerodynamics,
fluid dynamics, or physics (electrical and particle), and seemingly
meaning, or related to, "velocity".

I have it from 1742: "Yet perhaps it may be objected why so much
Vigilancy and Veloaty, where there's so much Innocency: The wicked
flee, when only the Sting of corporal Punishment ... pursues." Seems
to suggest velocity--speed of pursuit--here also.
