We've learned that "rude and inappropriate" can mean "morally wrong and profoundly disgusting." So it should be no surprise that "valid" can be antonymous ("[of actions]morally good or right; honorable").

2006 TV journalist on _Fox & Friends_ (Nov. 18) (Fox News Channel): Tell us: Is it _valid_ ? Is it _valid_ to publish this book [_If I Did It..._, by O. J. Simpson] ? Is it _valid_ to broadcast this interview ?
