Thanks for "bigger than Dallas." Was this line in the movie (or book) GIANT?
I seem to remember it somewhere on the screen.

“Bigger than Dallas” ("Bigger’n Dallas")

Dallas is big. Houston, however, is the most populous city in Texas.
Nevertheless, Dallas has long been called _“Big D.”_

The phrase “bigger than Dallas” ("bigger’n Dallas") has been popular since
at least the 1960s.

Bigger Than Dallas is an alternative country band, founded in 2002 by
singer/songwriter Rob Alderman. The band hails from Chattanooga, Tennessee.
After several lineup changes, the band included Davis Cutshaw on bass and
multi-instrumentalist Callie Harmon on guitar and mandolin.

9 August 1903, Boston Daily Globe, pg. 34:
“I’ve never been to any place bigger than Dallas,” said Chief Hefley. “You
all ought to see Dallas at the time of the state fair. It’s a mighty lively
town. The most beneficent work of providence, I think, was putting the Indian
territory between Texas and Kansas. It was necessary to have something there
to prevent things. The settlement of the territory may be the cause of
making a sort of tapering off place from each state, so that the people will be
able to become used to each other by degrees.”
