I assume that the reason the UConn mascot is the Huskies is
because of the UConn/Yukon pun.  Is that right, I wonder?

Sports mascots/nicknames are another rich area.  Most amazing is the
Georgetown nickname, the Hoyas, which I understand means the "whats."
