Might as well ask:

"HDAS shows 1917. I threw some dice and got 443. Is the correct date 1917
or 443?"

Dates returned by Google Books for periodicals are utterly worthless and
should be ignored. Only by internal evidence can one date a Google Books
item, AFAIK.
