On the History Channel's Easter Sunday blockbuster, _Banned Books of the Bible_, Dr. David Sholler of Fuller Theological Seminary pronounces "virginal" as
  / vIr 'Jain l / in the phrase "the virginal conception of Mary." Neither OED nor MW10 online include this pronunciation.

  In the same show, the Very Rev. Fr. John Bakas, Dean of St. Sophia's Cathedral in L.A., describes some of the Apocrypha as resembling "dimestore novels."  I believe I mentioned this variant of the canonical "dime novel" some time back.
