"Shermanesque" Not in OED

There is a second Associated Press story of recent days referring to The Yale Book of Quotations.  This one is about General Petraeus issuing a "Shermanesque" statement about not being interested in running for President.  "Shermanesque," usually used in reference to W. T. Sherman's statement about not running if nominated, etc., is a common term in U.S. politics, with over 800 LexisNexis hits, but is not in OED.
