WIlliam Safire is on vacation. David Holmberg, a former newspaper reporter
and editor, writes about his "student evaluations." What the hell is this? Does
 anyone care about Holmberg's student evaluations? This is not even worthy of
a  bad blog post. If the New York Times is going to pay so little attention
to the  "On Language" column, why not retire it?
