I have also heard 'ebonic engineering,' likely for its alliterative value, and
also 'ebonically engineered.'

PS: I have been doing foundry work for a number of years now and because the
craft is so OLD, so are some of the words. MS Word underlined 'sprue' for me
as unrecognised.
