A glance at "Jesus" in handy 'American' dictionaries:

RHUD shows terminal /s/ AND /z/;

MW3 doesn't have "Jesus" but it has "bejesus" and "jesus-bug": in both it
shows both /s/ AND /z/;

AHD shows terminal /s/ only.
