Proposal: A separate antedatings list

The American Dialect Society is devoted to the study of the English language in America. So just about anything goes--but maybe in moderation?

Thanks, though, to those who have suggested ways of dealing with 30 messages per day (15 of which usually come from the same 3 or 4 people) without taking the drastic measure of removing myself from what is certainly a VIGOROUS list. It seems clear to me that most of the people who have not signed off already like it the way it is. I still think it would be a good idea to limit everyone to perhaps ten messages a week.

To those who would like one or more separate lists, or those who wish
to unsubscribe but have sent their requests to the wrong list address:

What subjects do you propose should remain on ADS-L?

Joel
