fake dialects/accents

I'm usually quite impressed by actors who don a "generic" American accent.
An intersting case is the cable show "Brotherhood" and the Australian and
British actors who seem to do a pretty good job--it seems like even
Americans on the show go in and out of the Providence, RI accent a bit.

An English friend tells me that there is an "award" there for Americans with
the worst British accent named after Dick Van Dyke in "Mary Poppins". . .
