Webster ’s New World College Dictionary an nounces its word-of-the-year candidates

Anybody can nominate words for the ADS word circus. For that matter, anybody who shows up in SF at the meeting can vote (including I think, children). . ADS is more democratic than a New England town. meeting.

Odd, indeed. As an ADS-L bystander, I can't nominate, but I would
be surprised if "bailout" & "locavore" didn't appear somewhere in the
list under consideration for WOTY.
