Your word of the year/decade nominations?

Early nominations for the 2009 word of the year will be posted to the American Dialect Society web site and sent to some press folks Real Soon Now.

If you want to include yours in that announcement, get them to me before Christmas Day. Ben Zimmer and I have already prepared our lists. The more the wordier!

If you have a lot of nominations and you want to possibly be contacted by the press about them, you can send them in a formatted document and include your affiliations and contact details.

Individual nominations can be made to woty at americandialect org or posted to Twitter with the hash #woty08. Posts to ADS-L will also be counted.
