Indeed so, it's become widely popular in the UK, oddly in view of the fact
that we Brits take holidays, not vacations.

Another term that has suddenly started to appear in the newspapers I read
is "regifting". If I've read the database runes correctly, this has been
popular in the US for some years. It has popped up half a dozen times in
the past week and its popularity makes me wonder if it's really new to the
UK or if I've been blind to it until now.
