Surprise (UNCLASSIFIED)

The word "lol" is not a word, but then again neither is "laf". The word "laf" is fairly clear as to what it means. The word "lol" has a conflict with an existing word "loll". To say "We lolled" has a different meaning as well as laughed.

Don't get me wrong. I'm not a big proponent of changing tradspel. There are too many issues there. But phonetic spelling needs an English friendly upgrade.

You're a military guy. Truespel has a military application. I think I can teach literate soldiers to read phonetically 5 languages in one day. They would need English written underneath it to understand what they are saying. But using an English friendly phonetic notation has true advantages.
