a "visual look"

Said by a weatherperson on the normally literate WCVB (channel 5) in
normally literate Boston, about the cloudy-foggy morning
scene:  "[have] a visual look".  (Sometimes the reporters say "have a listen".)

On the same channel during the evening news, a reporter said that the
Airbus from Brazil to France came down in the Pacific.  I'm going to
switch channels.
