There are of course some marginal exceptions.

Does "boyo" rhyme with "yoyo"?

Does "toro" [fish] rhyme with "boro" [alternative spelling of "borough",
quite routine in some regions]?

Does "folo" [news jargon = "follow-up"] rhyme with "polo"?
