Sorry, by "Midlands" I meant "Midland American English," i.e., the dialect
spoken from about Pennsylvania to Kansas.

It's not in my dialect either (Inland North), but I have come across it once
around here (didn't ask where the speaker came from), and once in New
England, but the speaker's parents were from Pittsburgh.
