I wonder where that came from.  I first heard it from a broadcast of
a ballgame, probably courtesy of Vin Scully for the Brooklyn Dodgers
(talk about 945 years ago): "Trying to slip a fastball by [I think it
was Hank Aaron] is like trying to slip sunrise past a rooster".  But
no idea where it originated.  Fred, do you have that one?
