Get your X on, Tweet

Just two things that bleeped on the linguistic radar while watching the
movie The Other Guys (2010).

First, another variant on the familiar "Get your X on" sequence: as two
police officers are leaving to investigate a case, and two others stay
behind at their desks, this is how the first two say goodbye: "Get your type
on."

Second, when two police officers arrive at a crime scene, and one of them
says something short and snappy, the second one celebrates by saying, "Nice
tweet." There is no Twitter involved, but the word seems to have leaped out
of Twitter to denote any utterance that is short and to the point. That was
a first for me.
