odd form

Can't say that I have. This form, based on just my experience, needs
"AN ASTERIK." ;-) Now, *that* form I've been hearing in place of
_asterisk_ for the past thirty years or more.

I'm now going to be on the alert for _*indeck_ or however you want to spell it..
