The latest release of OED revisions has the word "conservatism," with a first use of 8 Sept. 1832. Below is a slight antedating.

conservatism (OED3 1832 Sept.)

1832 _Lancaster Gazette and General Advertiser_ 23 June (19th Century British Library Newspapers) TRIUMPH OF CONSERVATISM IN BERKSHIRE. ... Mr. Palmer, an open and avowed opponent of the Ministerial Reform Bill, has, by the cordial assistance of the independent freeholders of Berkshire, driven his radical opponent, Mr. Hallett, the nominee of the Birmingham Union, from the field. ... We look upon this event as most important, and auspicious to the cause of conservatism.
