Fun with Early American Newspapers

Since 1837 for "at the drop of a hat" approaches EAN times, I thought
I'd look.  Three hits.  For the earliest, 1799, I find that EAN has
highlighted not "at the drop" + "hat", my search terms, but "at the
door" and "[p]lace ".  (The other two are not relevant either.)
