  Here's the original script from Apocalypse Now. Interestingly, GB
dates it as 1975 and search for "1975" gets a hit, but it's a blank part
of a page.

There are a number of hits--non-fiction--dated between 1972 and 1975,
but I have not verified their authenticity. The fact that it ends up in
non-fiction so soon after a fairly obscure text suggests that the usage
is in fact authentic.
