You have no access through The World's Greatest University? I *used*
to have access even as only a retiree who no longer had an
@fas.harvard.edu e-mail address. Then, the WGU revamped its library IT
system and, suddenly, Oh, heck! There's simply no way that this new
system can be modified so as to allow the University to continue to
offer the full range of information services formerly available to
any holder of a Harvard ID. Full access is now restricted to only
current faculty, staff, and students. We're so very sorry! :-( But you
can still use the on-line catalog, :-) "just like any other regular
jack-off," as the members of the rock group, Dethlok, say.

Fortunately, my wife continued in her position. I could lie my way
into the system by using her PIN and ID-card number. But, now that
she's retired, too, paradise has been lost. Sigh!
