Nw that my memory has been jogged, I can recall that this type of
"body shot" was also common on the "dating" shows. It's just that the
navel version was more striking - a young woman wearing a micro-mini
over a "string" and lying on the bar or on a table engaged my
attention to a greater degree and made more of an impression than
watching some dork slobbering into someone's cleavage.

All say, "How hard it is that we have to die!"––a strange complaint to
come from the mouths of people who have had to live.
–Mark Twain

Once we recognize that we do not err out of laziness, stupidity,
or evil intent, we can uncumber ourselves of the impossible burden of
trying to be permanently right. We can take seriously the proposition
that we could be in error, without necessarily deeming ourselves
idiotic or unworthy.
