Sidekick Tom Clark was telling Public Radio's Dr. Zorba Paster a few minutes
ago about how his mom used to do things, which was evidently different from
the way some moms do then now.

Dr. Zorba laughed heartily and said, "But that was in the day! It was in the
day!"

Not "back in the day" or "in the old days" or "in those days."

Just "in the day."
