"P.S."

My 8-year-old grandson has been with me for a couple of days.  He's a talkative little boy, and on several occasions he as followed a statement with "P.S."--then a further statement.  It is not remarkable that he should be vocalizing a "script," but I don't know how he could know about the use of "P.S." itself.
