Try New OED

Here's what I think: I think OED should give everyone on this list who
doesn't have institutional membership free access for a year. I'd bet the
contributions would be worth it and folks at OED would end up saying that
that guy David had a really good idea, let's do it for another year... ;)

According to kottke.org, which did not give a source for its =
information, through February 5 you can access oed.com for free by using =
trynewoed/trynewoed as a login.  No doubt most subscribers to ADS-L have =
institutional access, but I know at least some do not.
