"Copyright _for_ [Name], LLC"

I grew up with "copyright [?held?: a WAG] _by_," traceable with a
casual, WTF search to 1882. Then, someone thought about it and decided
that the proper form should be, "_copyrighted_ by." Now, possibly,
someone has said, "'Copy*righted*' is wrong! It should be
'copyright'!" or some such, to someone else, who, pondering the
question, came up with _for_, since _by_ clearly makes no sense.
