If this sort of thing is really a problem for y'all, then I say that,
if Faulkner had had any kind of ear, he would have used the spelling,
"Yassum."

In Marshall, in ultra-nigrous speech, people would use "ya'm" - if
that's the correct spelling - in place of "yassum."
