It's kind of a strange typo, though, unless our correspondent had
lousy handwriting.  I was thinking of our Livingston stringer's
occasional humorous asides and folksy style within these local news
columns as indicators that he may have tried "suit us to a T.Y." as a
play on "suit us to a T" combined with an abbreviated "thank you" (for
whatever editorial he was talking about).
