Screwed the duck

Too late for inclusion in HDAS I encountered the phrase: "_fuck the duck_,
to make a serious blunder."

It  is also a syn. of "fuck the dog," to loaf, as in Michael Herr's
_Dispatches_  (1977, ref. to 1968).
