Another early QOTY? "recalibrate the compass of conservatism"

I am not sure that "catchiness" is a relevant standard for judging either
piece of imagery in context. Both images are intended to explain a needed
change in direction. If nothing else, recalibrating the compass sounds like
something an adult would do; an Etch-a-Sketch is a children's toy.
