I've heard that phonograph records don't provide acceptable dating.
Because of the difficulty of finding a copy of the 78 and verifying
its dated label? Thanks to the Web, that's not necessarily a major
problem, anymore, seem like to me.

Just idly wondering. I don't have a stash of notebooks full of
heretofore-unknown Negroisms culled from old blues, jazz, and R&B 78's
or such like waiting to be transcribed and e-mailed to Jesse.
