Harry Turtledove, writer of alternative history novels, introduces the word
"flabble" in Settling Accounts:  The Grapple.  The word means something "to
complain pointlessly, to grouse."  UD has the word as a noun meaning "love
handles," and the derivation for that is clear enough.  It also shows up as
the name of various characters in online games.  He uses it quite a lot in
the book, the third in the four book Settling Accounts series.
