gist/just eggcorn?

Two problems with UD. First, as is the case with all UD entries, it is
unverifiable and undocumented. Second, it actually suggests that the
eggcorn interpretation is correct. I did notice the Yahoo!Answers and UD
entries and several other hits, which is why I said that it exists in
the wild. However, none of them seem to suggest an alternative explanation.
