Another listening of "far-fledged"

Take a listen:  heard on Boston car-radio news this morning.  An
attorney interviewed about his client, accused of avoiding taxes by
transferring tobacco from a state with no tax to a state with a
tobacco tax, said his client and the client's customers were not
engaged in a "far-fledged" conspiracy.

I have not researched the history except superficially.  My
institutional memory (the Institution being the Web) says it hasn't
been discussed on ADS-L, but was (in 2007) considered an eggcorn.
