Subject: _stomps_ = "shoes"

"Besides backpacks, one of the most popular and expensive back-to-school
items is _a new pair of *shoes*_. Even if your child wears a uniform to
school, you will likely have to purchase him _a new pair of *stomps*_.

To the extent that this is relevant to anything, it has to do with the fact
that, a couple of years ago, I posted that "stomps" was used as slang for
"shoes" in 1940's Marshall, Texas, BE. Today, on a whim, I googled it.

Meh.
