1916 _Northern Mudguard_ 1 July 179 (Trench Journals and Unit Magazines of the First World War)  Pte. Shiell was not hurt, but, he says, a few of the lads who went with him from the N.C.B. "have caught it, and 'Kitchener' (Pte. Downing) was a bit shell-shocked, but is all right again."
