A new word--only appears (Googe-ly) in the context in which I first encountered it:

'The MFA Cohortium
The MFA Cohortium's goal is to advance the use of MFA in higher education. The Cohortium unites a committed group of campuses in a focused 15-month effort to help themselves and others to make real progress towards MFA deployments.'

MFA refers to 'multifactor authentication'--the requirement to have something in addition to a password for authentication, such as a message sent to a cellphone or fingerprintes.
I'm listening to a webinar right now on what the Cohortium is doing to encourage the use of MFA on university campuses.

Nobody at Wayne State will EVER ask you for your password. Never send it to anyone in an email, no matter how authentic the email looks.
