Q: "The Record", New Jersey, 2012

Thanks, Ben. I don't know how I missed this, considering I did a
search using just "verdon" and then looking for dates close to March
5, 2012. (I do note that this article is dated March 4, but I
certainly looked carefully around those dates.) I don't know why my
search for "Pearl White" failed to locate this.

However, the content isn't much use as a source. The only
documentation for Pearl hanging off a cliff is the recollection of a
bartender (!) in the 1960s or '70s. Or did the "screening of film
clips" have the smoking gun? Probably not, if negative and original
prints are no longer extant.
