Yet Further Antedating of "Goalie"

Here's a further antedating, to 1889, in the Dundee Courier & Argus (Oct. 14, 1889) (19th Century British Newspapers).  I assume that the Dundee Courier & Argus was connected with the Dundee Courier that had the other antedatings.

"The Wanderers played desperately to score, and working the ball forward it was sent into the goal, Kelly going for the goalie.  Brown (who had kept a grand goal all the game) knocked it out, but it was returned, and Kelly, who was through the goal by this time, kept him from getting near it, the result being that it rolled slowly through."

goalie (OED 1921)

1895 _Dundee Courier_ 5 Apr. 5 (British Newspaper Archive)  Murray (the goalie for the Reserves) was much damaged by a charge, and if it had not been for this the score would have stood different.
