A query from Spain

My name is
Francisco. I'm from Spain and I'm finishing my degree in Primary Education
Teaching, specialised in Teaching English as a Second Language.

As I'm finishing
the degree, I am working on my final-year dissertation.

The line of work
must be "English lexicology in discourse", so I've decided that my
dissertation will deal with "clippings or "truncation",
and I haven't decided which specific corpus to choose yet (I want to
select one
related to soccer, but I'm wondering whether to choose a soccer
forum/web chat
or several soccer digital magazine's issues).

To sum up, I
should be very grateful if you could help me in this business as far as
possible, at least by suggesting to me some bibliography in order to search
information about clippings/truncation, some large lists of clipped words or
any advice you could give me on this matter or about how to work
clippings in a
corpus.
