WB:  See Ladefoged's rules 10 & 11 for English allophones. Wikip
<T-glottalization> has some astute observations (mostly on UK speech, some
US). Prescriptivists would call it a <<lazy habit>>. Seems2me that prissy
schoolmarms have been hard at work trying to suppress a universal
phonological tendency, especially characteristic of male speech.
IIRC, schwa becomes barred-eye before alveolars . . . (alveolar-raising).
