No shit?! And the Kingdom of the Netherlands is no longer the Kingdom of
the Netherlands. Is the United States still the United States? What about
the Ohio State University? What is the punishment for using, e.g, "My
wife's grandparents came from the Ukraine"? (In fact, I say, "... from
_Ukrainia_ and I intend to say, "the Senegambia," should the occasion
arise.)

Since I rarely have occasion to speak officially, none of this is relevant
to me, of course. But, will others who do have official standing be looked
at askance?
